General questions
How much do your tours cost?
The Toronto Private City Tour is listed at $799, the Blue Mountain Private Tour at $1,499 for a private group of up to six, and the 1000 Islands Day Tour With Islands Cruise at $1,999 as a group price. Prices are in Canadian dollars. We confirm how the price applies to your group in our reply, before you commit to anything.
What does each tour visit?
The Toronto tour loops through the city’s landmarks and neighbourhoods, from Casa Loma to the CN Tower waterfront. The Blue Mountain tour covers Blue Mountain Village, the gondola and summit view over Georgian Bay, and Wasaga Beach. The 1000 Islands tour adds a sightseeing cruise on the St. Lawrence, the Thousand Islands Parkway and Kingston. Each tour page lists every stop in order.
Is sending a request the same as a confirmed booking?
No. A request tells us the tour, date, group size and pickup you have in mind. Our team then checks availability and replies with the details for your group. Your booking is only confirmed when we confirm it in writing.
Do you pick up from hotels?
The Toronto tour starts and ends at downtown Toronto hotels, the Blue Mountain tour starts with a downtown Toronto pickup, and the 1000 Islands tour starts with a hotel or B&B pickup. Tell us where you are staying in your request and we will confirm the pickup point and time.
How long are the tours?
The Toronto tour takes part of a day in the city. Blue Mountain is a full day, with about two hours’ drive each way. The 1000 Islands tour is a long full day, with close to three hours’ drive each way plus the cruise. We confirm exact start and finish times with your booking.
Are attraction tickets included?
Admissions are not part of the listed prices. Casa Loma and the CN Tower are seen from outside on the Toronto tour, the Blue Mountain gondola needs a resort ticket, and Boldt Castle is viewed from the water. For the 1000 Islands cruise, we confirm with your booking whether the cruise ticket is included.
Which cruise is on the 1000 Islands tour?
Sightseeing cruises in the Gananoque area range from about an hour to several hours. We confirm the operator, sailing, terminal and length with your booking, because that choice sets the length of the day and whether Boldt Castle is on the route. The cruise is a public sailing shared with other passengers.
How many people can come on a tour?
The Toronto and Blue Mountain tours are private for groups of up to six. For seven or more guests, send a request and we will prepare a custom group quote. For the 1000 Islands tour, we confirm the group size with you when we reply.
Can children and infants join?
Yes. Count every traveller, infants included, in the guest number on your request, and tell us the ages if you need child seats. We confirm seating and any child-seat arrangements with your booking.
Are the tours suitable for guests with limited mobility?
Many stops can be enjoyed from the vehicle or with a short walk, but some involve walking on uneven ground, such as the Distillery District lanes, Blue Mountain Village, the beach and the cruise dock. Tell us what you need in your request and we will be honest about what works before you book.
What happens in bad weather?
The tours include outdoor stops, and the gondola and the islands cruises are run by other operators who can pause them in bad weather. If we learn that part of your tour cannot run, we contact you before the day to talk through the options.
How do I book?
The Toronto Private City Tour can be booked online on our booking page. For any tour you can also send your date, number of guests and pickup location through the booking request form or on WhatsApp, and our team replies to confirm availability, the total for your group and the pickup arrangements.
How do I pay?
When you book the Toronto Private City Tour online, payment is taken on our separate booking page at checkout. For requests sent by form, WhatsApp or phone, payment is arranged once we have confirmed your booking details. This website itself never collects card details, and sending a request costs nothing.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation and refund terms are given to you in writing with your booking confirmation. Please read them before you pay. If you have a question about them, ask us before confirming.
Can you arrange a tour for a larger group or a different date range?
Yes, ask us. Send a request with your group size and dates, and we will reply with what we can arrange and a custom quote.
Where are you located?
City Tour Toronto has two Toronto addresses: 123 Edward St Ste 205, Toronto, ON M5G 1E2 and 192 Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON M5T 2C2. Tours begin with the pickup described on each tour page. Please contact us before visiting either address.
Toronto Private City Tour
Is the $799 price per person or for the whole group?
$799 is the listed price for this private tour. When we reply to your request we confirm how it applies to your group, so you see the figure for your booking before you commit to anything.
Do we go inside Casa Loma or up the CN Tower?
Not as part of the listed price. Both are on the route as places to see and photograph from outside. If you would like to go in, mention it in your request and we will tell you what fits the day.
How many people can join?
The tour is private for groups of up to six guests. For seven or more, send the request anyway and we will prepare a custom group quote.
Can you pick us up somewhere other than a downtown hotel?
The tour is planned around a downtown Toronto hotel pickup. If you are staying elsewhere, put the address in your request and we will tell you whether it works.
Blue Mountain Private Tour
Is $1,499 per person?
No. $1,499 is the listed private group price for up to six guests. For seven or more, send the request and we will prepare a custom group quote.
Are gondola tickets included?
No. The Open-Air Gondola is operated by Blue Mountain Resort and needs its own ticket. If you would rather skip it, the village, the beach and the drive still make a full day.
What can we see from the summit?
Georgian Bay, the town of Collingwood and the green ridge of the Niagara Escarpment. The view is best on a clear day.
Does the tour run all year?
Blue Mountain is a ski resort in winter and a summer resort in the warmer months, so what is open changes through the year and some activities close in bad weather. Tell us your date and we will check before confirming.
1000 Islands Day Tour With Islands Cruise
Which cruise is included?
Cruises in the Gananoque area run from short one-hour loops to longer sailings of several hours, from more than one terminal. We confirm the operator, sailing and length with your booking, because that choice sets the length of the day and whether Boldt Castle is on the route.
Can we go inside Boldt Castle?
Not on this tour. Boldt Castle is on Heart Island in US waters, and going ashore means a different cruise and crossing into the United States. This tour views it from the boat when the route passes it.
Is the boat private?
No. The islands cruise is a scheduled sightseeing sailing shared with other passengers. Your road transport is arranged for your group.
Is $1,999 per person?
No. $1,999 is the listed group price. We confirm the group size and final arrangements when we reply to your request.
How long is the day?
Plan for a long full day. The drive is close to three hours each way, plus the cruise, lunch and the stops. The exact schedule follows the cruise we confirm.
